Stunning Bottle Cap Self Portrait
Thursday, 22 September 2011
In our modern world, we don’t really get to use our imagination much since we keep automating stuff that we used to do ourselves. It’s quite interesting how things change with the technology, and what we did yesterday with our bare hands, we’ve found a better way of doing today. Even artists seem to automate processes in order to switch it up a little. Some artists used to use their brushes to create their art, but nowadays, their automated painting robot creates art that is way more popular than their art used to be when they did it themselves. Isn’t that weird? Where do you think it will end? With the development of artificial intelligence, there is no telling where we might end up, but I think it’s safe to say that we’ll be seeing a lot of different ways to automate things in the future.

You Won't Believe the Things People Steal

Horned Furniture
Furniture from Michel Haillard featured in this post causes mixed feelings. On the one hand, it is striking in its concept, quality of performance, its luxury eventually. On the other hand there is an idea that this furniture is from hell. To produce all this infernal furniture were used the most drastic materials starting from crocodile and ostrich skin and ending with horns and tusks of wild animals. Also it was created not without natural fur, which are covered inside cabinets and drawers. The frame and trim are made from wood, bronze and silver. By the way studio working with the material of the customer. You bring the skin of dead animals, and in return get the furniture made from it. It is part of the interior and the subject of hunting pride at the same time. Naturally, every piece is unique and the price for it is transcendental.

Today we want to show you an interesting house with sloping floors, placed on the slope of the hill near Chernin, Czech Republic. The interior is based on the alternation of flat and sloping floors that give it form a spiral, and also determines the shape of the building. With this design the owners were able to place in the house a small cinema. All concept was created by Sepka Architekti. I hope you’ll enjoy it.
